Earlier today I tried to revert to the first post-install snapshot; however, that failed at the grub stage, and I think it was this error message:
“grub_is_Shim_lock_enabled not found” (I remembered “grub” and “shim”).
I did some research and found some relevant instructions involving chroot (which I have never used so far), but then I remembered I had seen some kind of repair option in the installer on the live iso – which turned out to be true!
So, I was able to repair the installation and boot into the intended snapshot without having to start over from scratch.

(TBH, it only takes about five or six minutes to install BigLinux and maybe 20 minutes for my own setup of apps and customizations, but it did save me some time and tedium.)
