Bom dia pessoal.

Estou migrando do windows para o Linux neste meu dispositivo, pois o windows está muito lento e travado e o linux ficou excelente, porém com algumas falhas que não consegui resolver, mesmo pesquisando em vários fórums, uma vez que quase não existe informações sobre ele.

Dispositivo é um tablet Dell Latitude 12 Rugged 7212 (Apesar do dispositivo ser tratado como um tablet, ele tem a estrutura de um pc all in one.)
Distro instalada: Big Linux Kernel 612 (recomendado)

Este meu dispositivo possui 2 câmeras integradas, 01 frontal e 01 traseira, sendo que nenhuma funcionou no linux, no windows ambas funcionam.

Tentei algumas distros Lives, sendo as 3 Big Linux disponíveis para download, tanto em Xorg como Wayland, testei Fedora e Zorin, nenhuma funcionou as câmeras.

Outra coisa que não consegui fazer funcionar no Big são os botões físicos do monitor que são (bloquear rotação da tela, volume + e -, botão windows que funciona como o meta e 3 botões configuráveis), no zorin os botões frontais funcionam perfeitamente, com exceção dos configuráveis, no Big não funciona nenhum.

Se puderem me auxiliar, ficarei muito grato.

Atualizando sobre o problema, cheguei a conclusão que o problema do Linux com as câmeras desse dispositivo não tem solução, pois não possui qualquer suporte no kernel para elas. Seguem abaixo todas as tentativas realizadas.

Câmera só funciona no Windows? Pode ser firmware travado
Em alguns modelos, o firmware da câmera só carrega no Windows. Quando isso acontece, o Linux não consegue ativar a câmera porque o firmware não é persistente.

👉 Solução alternativa:

Inicie no Windows, ative a câmera.

Reinicie (não desligue) e entre no Linux. Às vezes isso mantém o firmware ativo.

Ou procure se existe um firmware blob para sua câmera específico.

O que está acontecendo?
O seu dispositivo usa um pipeline de imagem da Intel IPU3 com o controlador CIO2 (Camera Input Output 2).
Esse hardware não é suportado completamente no kernel Linux por padrão, especialmente em distribuições comuns.

Você está vendo vários /dev/video*, mas eles são interfaces internas do pipeline IPU3, e não correspondem diretamente à webcam como ela aparece no Windows.

Além disso, não apareceu nenhum dispositivo USB de câmera no lsusb, o que confirma que é câmera integrada no bus PCI (não USB), usando IPU3.

A boa notícia: existe suporte experimental em desenvolvimento para essas câmeras através de projetos como:

ipu3-imgu driver no kernel (https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/admin-guide/media/ipu3.html) não tentei, falta conhecimento

libcamera — biblioteca moderna para lidar com câmeras complexas como IPU3 (https://libcamera.org/) não consegui fazer nada aqui

Instale o libcamera (já tem suporte a IPU3)
sudo pacman -S libcamera libcamera-tools

Teste a câmera com libcamera-hello

Alternativa: usar um kernel custom com patch IPU3
Se o libcamera não funcionar, você pode tentar:

Instalar um kernel com suporte a IPU3 já embutido, como os kernels do projeto Tuxedo OS ou compilar um kernel custom com os módulos IPU3 ativados.

Ou instalar distros como Fedora Kinoite ou Arch puro com libcamera + GStreamer, que têm suporte mais atualizado. (Sem sucesso)

Tentei inclusive ajuda pelo ChatGPT que não resultou em qualquer sucesso.

Conclusão - Só funciona com windows.

Hardware Específico: Seu tablet usa câmeras conectadas via PCI (Intel IPU3 + CIO2), não via USB, o que é incomum em dispositivos consumer.

Suporte Experimental: O driver ipu3-imgu no kernel Linux é a base para o suporte, mas ele ainda está em desenvolvimento e pode não cobrir todos os casos de uso.

Firmware Travado: Alguns dispositivos Dell exigem que o firmware seja carregado pelo Windows antes de reiniciar (não desligar), mas você já testou isso sem sucesso.

Ausência no lsusb: Como as câmeras não aparecem como dispositivos USB, o problema está na camada mais baixa do kernel/driver.

Tente pelo terminal:

Pelo que estou vendo, o libcamera-hello não está sendo encontrado, mesmo após a instalação do pacote libcamera-tools. Isso pode acontecer se o executável não estiver no seu PATH ou se o pacote não o incluir corretamente. Vamos resolver isso e continuar investigando o suporte às câmeras.

Como usar:

Salve como webcam-wizard.sh.
Dê permissão de execução:
```
   chmod +x webcam-wizard.sh
```
Execute como root (algumas operações requerem sudo):
```
   sudo ./webcam-wizard.sh
```

Funcionalidades:

Tenta todas as configurações possíveis (módulos do kernel, libcamera, firmware, pipeline V4L2).
Gera logs detalhados (webcam-wizard.log, dmesg.log, journalctl.log).
Pergunta se deseja testar com Guvcview após cada tentativa.
Oferece reiniciar o script se o usuário quiser tentar novamente.

Mande os logs que vão ser gerados se o erro persistir.
