Easy Step by Step System installation

Good day, kindly can someone point me to an easy to follow Setup guide to get BigLinux on my Laptop?

I booted from a Unetbootin (Mint Linux) created USB Stick, but then after using the Live system, trying to Install System is impossible, because I don’t understand Spanish, as the Installer is in Spanish default.

On starting up, I selected English UK, but the Installer starts up in Spanish only and I can’t see the option to change the Installer to English.

Also, what else do I need to know if I would like to partition my HDD into (1) a Root partition for the System, (2) Home partition and then (3) a separate SWAP partition? What size is recommended for the Root and for the Swap?

BraamM As Jesus mentions - easy to install. If you are not installing side by side with windows is very easy. Use Google Translate - the only bit I find in Portuguese is the 3 boxes that appear when you go to install initially. The Centre box is the one that does it all for you. No need set up any partitions unless you are installing next to Windows even then it is the case of replacing a partition only. Let me know if Jesus or my comments help.

As a BigLinux user, by the way my native language is Spanish from Spain, I suggest that you download the BigLinux iso image, the one recommended for its stability, and flash it with Balena Etcher. You will see that it gives you the choice of Portuguese, Spanish and English.

You don’t have to partition anything, you have to do the automatic installation, everything on the hard drive. The system is responsible for making the partitions automatically. You start in live mode, and then install the system.

Thank you to both of you. Yes, Merlin351xt you are correct, it was the very first screen with the 3 boxes that had me confused, but then I remembered that I can do a Google Image search with my cellphone, and then by selecting Translate while holding my phone over the Screen, I was able to read what the 3 boxes said… Thank goodness for that, Google does have some value 😜

After that, I just did the normal automatic Setup, as Jesus mentioned.
